Výběrová řízení - Akademie věd České republikyLaboratory of Mitochondrial Physiology on the Institute of Physiology in Prague,Czech Republic,is seeking a scientist for a position: Postdoctoral position in Molecular mechanisms of insulin secretion The research project will focus on unravelling of novel molecular pathways essential for redox regulations during glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) and etiology of type 2 diabetes (T2D).XXX XXX is to determine mitochondrial and cytosolic targets essential in redox regulations during GSIS and a possible development of glucotoxicity- and lipotoxicity- related oxidative stress initiating T2D.Models will include insulinoma INS1E cells,isolated beta cells and Langerhans islets and transgenic mice (see Diabetes doi: 10.2337/db19-1130 and Antioxidants & Redox Signaling doi: 10.1089/ars.2019.7800).Besides standard molecular methods RNaseq,proteome-wide analyses,metabolomic analyses,pancreatic islet/animal genetic modifications will be applied.The applicant will join an enthusiastic young team in XXX Institute of Physiology,ASCR.We have a strong background in mitochondrial bioenergetics and mitochondrial dynamics; in etiology of diabetes,in vitro studies of beta-cells,and 3D super-resolution microscopy.Our laboratory XXX an access to XXX EU supported BIOCEV institute to advanced core facilities of BIOCEV.Mice breading,constructions of new knock-outs or knock-ins will be performed in cooperation XXXX XXX XXXXX Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP) of XXX BIOCEV.We seek for a highly motivated applicant with background in cell biology,biochemistry or omics technologies and bioinformatics.Background in diabetes and mitochondrial research is not necessary but beneficial.We require a good publication record,independent thinking,and ability to work single-handedly but within the team,fluent English.Experience with cell cultures,CRISPR/Cas technology,bioenergetics,advanced microscopy techniques,animal experiments and transgenic models...
